Rio Hotel and Casino Returns as WSOP Circuit Stop on February 17th

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit is to get back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas after a prolonged absence of more than a decade. The tournament is to start on February 17th and will run until February 28th.

The Rio Hotel and Casino has been a permanent stop of the WSOP every summer since 2005, gathering thousands of poker players from all over the world. The same is expected to happen in the summer of 2017, too, but until now, the venue is to host the WSOP Circuit for the first time in almost twelve years. For more than a decade, the WSOP Circuit has been hosted by other casino venues in Las Vegas, including Caesars Palace, Bally’s, Planet Hollywood, but it was high time for Rio to gloriously return on the WSOP Circuit schedule.

The schedule of the WSOP Circuit Rio Event has been published on the official website of the World Series of Poker. First, the No-Limit Hold’em Unlimited Re-entry event is to start on Friday, February 17th, featuring a buy-in of $365 and a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. The 3-day event is to return for its Day 2 on Monday, and will have its final day on February 21st.

Monday will also see a No-Limit Hold’em Single Re-entry event to kick off with a $365 buy-in, with the event’s second day starting Tuesday. Two other similar events are to be held on February 22nd and February 23rd. The $365 Buy-in Mixed PLO – NLGE Unlimited Re-entry will be held in the same period of time as a 2-day event.

The WSOP Circuit at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino will feature a special NLHE Seniors Event that is to kick off on February 21st as a one-day event, allowing only players who are at least 50 years old to join in return of a buy-in amounting to $250. On the same day, another one-day event is scheduled, too – the No-Limit Hold’em TURBO Unlimited Re-entry. It can be joined in return to a $365 buy-in. There will be held a NLHE TURBO event, allowing an unlimited re-entry, on February 27th, too.

Players will be able to enter a PLO Unlimited Re-entry 2-day event with a $365 buy-in is to kick off on February 22nd. Then, a 2-day H.O.R.S.E Single Re-entry event featuring a buy-in of $365 is scheduled to start on Thursday.

The most attractive event that is to be held over the WSOP Circuit Stop in Rio is undoubtedly the Main Event – a NLHE Single Re-entry per flight, featuring a buy-in of $1,675 and a massive guaranteed prize pool of amounting to $750,000. It is to kick off on February 24th, and will run for three play days. Before the Main Event, WSOP lovers will be given the chance to enter the NLHE Monster Stack No Re-entry event in return to a buy-in of $365 on Friday, February 24th.

Last, but not least, players who prefer high stakes will be provided with the opportunity to try their luck in the NLHE High Roller Unlimited Re-entry event on February 27th in return to a buy-in estimated to $2,200.

The WSOP Circuit at Rio Hotel is to also offer additional daily poker tournaments in the Rio Poker Room in the period from February 17th to 26th.
